Mp3 Rotation

This week it's cover songs:

Rainy Day - Ayumi Hamasaki
&&

Every Step - Sweetbox
Rainy Day:This is a cover to Sweetbox's Every Step. It goes by a different name. It has pretty much the exact same beat except for the intro. It's a sad, sweet ballad and Ayumi does a good job of covering it. Not sure if the words are different or not. But either way there isn't a whole lot of difference from this one and the original.
4/5
Every Step:And here is the original. Once again it's the same as the cover only it's sung in English. And I do think that Jade has a more powerful voice than Ayumi but that's just me. It pretty much your average ballad but it gets plus points because it's Sweetbox.
4/5

Papillion - Shimatani Hitomi
&&

Doesn't Really Matter - Janet Jackson
Papillion:This is the cover to Janet Jackson's Doesn't Really Matter. It's a lot like Ayumi's cover of Sweetbox. It's the same song just sung in Japanese as opposed to English. This is a cheery, upbeat song that's really easy to get into. It's just so much fun. Shimatani has a cute voice so it goes great with the hyper beat of the song. A good song to take.
5/5
Doesn't Really Matter:And this is the original. It's the same as Shimatani's except it's in English...just like the one above. Same happy beat and all. And Janet also has a really sweet voice so it just goes so well with the happiness of the song. This is a very happy song so take it if you want to smile ^_^
5/5

Don't Know Why - Aya Matsura
&&

Don't Know Why - Norah Jones
Don't Know Why (Aya):This is a cover of Norah Jones's Don't Know Why. Now this one has a slight, only slightly different beat. It takes a lot to catch but it is there. And also it's not sung in Japanese. She took the time out to sing this song in English. Same words and everything. And she has a deep accent so she has trouble pronouncing some words but that's ok. It's kind of cute. You'll either like it or you'll hate it with a passion. But I think she did a very good job.
5/5>
Don't Know Why (Norah):Here is the original. I really think this one is better...but that's probably because Norah doesn't have the accent problem. This is a slow, relaxing song. Very relaxing. It has a jazzy feel to it. And Norah has a very unique voice. It's makes me think of Fiona Apple or Amy Winehouse. It's scratchy but...it works. And her voice goes well with her style of music.
5/5

This Love - Big Bang
&&

This Love - Maroon 5
This Love (Big Bang):This is a cover of Maroon 5's This Love. I was very shocked when I first heard this song. It's rap. So I don't think they are saying the same words as the original artist. In fact I'm almost positive. But it's awesome to hear this song sung in a different genre of music. I love that it's rap. It actually goes really well. This is probably the most interesting cover on this rotation. It's so different. Highly recommended.
5/5
This Love (Maroon 5):And then of course it's the original. Same beat as the one above but it's sung in English and it's not rap. It had a type of alternative beat to it...maybe with some jazzy tones to it? I don't know. But this guy has a very interesting voice for you. That really makes the song. Honestly though, I like the remix better. Probably because I've heard this one over and over and I just heard the cover. But this is an excellent song and you should take it.
4/5

Real Emotion - Sweetbox
&&

Real Emotion - Kumi Koda
Real Emotion (Sweetbox):This is a cover of Kumi Koda's Real Emotion. This was the song sung for Final Fantasy X-2 cause for some reason they made the main character a pop star....but anyway moving on. This is pretty much what this song is...a pop song. It's has your typical pop beat but Sweetbox does deliver a good performance. The only difference between this song and the original is that this one is sung in English. It's an all right song...it's just very typical.
3/5
Real Emotion (Kumi):So Kumi Koda first sang this song. Like I said there is almost no difference between the two except the languages. But Kumi did sing this song in English...I just didn't put it up. It is there though. This is the Japanese version. And I always love Kumi Koda but this song could be better....
3/5

Cupid's Chokehold - Gym Class Heroes
&&

Breakfast in America - Supertramp
Cupid's Chokehold:This is a cover of Supertramp's Breakfast in America. This song is so awesome. It's rap but the beat has a jazzy tone to it. It's just great. And it's really sweet! I love all the things he says in this song. It's just so nice. And the chorus isn't really rap but it still fits so perfectly. He has a very unique voice. And the rapping is just...it's nice to hear a rap song that's not dirty and sick. This song is worth the download.
5/5
Breakfast in America:This version is completely opposite of the version above. It has the beat but it's slowed down a lot more. And he's not talking about a girl at all. It's kind of confusing but you can figure it out if you listen to the lyrics. And it sounds like this person has an accent. I really don't know where he is from. It's not bad but it's not as modern or as cool sounding as the one from the Gym Class Heroes. It has an oldie type of feel to it even though they have very similar beats. But go ahead and take it to see the difference.
4/5

Every Heart - Kristine Sa
&&

Every Heart - BoA
Every Heart (Kristine):This is a cover of BoA's Every Heart. Yea...this one is different from the original. It's pretty much a techno version of the slow song. And it's always intersting to hear songs having a different beat to them. Kristine does a very good job though. She has a lovely voice. And she's singing the same way that BoA sang even though the beat is faster which is pretty cool. The words are the same. I like it a lot. Maybe even a little more than the original.
4/5
Every Heart (BoA):Everyone probably knows this song as one of the ending themes to Inuyasha. It's a slow, sweet ballad song. And BoA delivers a very passionate performace that you don't quite get with the cover. There's not much to say...other than it's a good song and you should take it.
4/5

Stronger - Kanye West
&&

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Daft Punk
Stronger:This is a cover of Daft Punk's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. I don't like this version as much. He pretty much transformed the whole song. You can slightly hear the beat from the original. And he's pretty much just rapping about how great he is. Eh...I don't really wanna hear that. It's a good song...I guess. You just have to really like that type of music. But at least he gives Daft Punk credit. At first it sounds like he doesn't credit them at all but towards the end he gives them a shout out. But overall...I don't really like this song.
2/5
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger:Now here...is the original. And this is a great techno/trance song. The beat is consistent and just freakin awesome. I love it! I love hearing itprobably just because the beat keeps going and going. And it's very modern because the voices sound very robotic. ^_^ It's just great. Go Daft Punk!

Here To Stay

Almost Human - Voltaire
I love all of Voltaire's music and my favorite song from him has to be Almost Human. It's fantastic. It meaningful, sad, and funny, has a great beat that goes with his fantastic voice! It's just...it's wonderful in every way. I hope everyone downloads it.
5/5

Koe - Tsukiko Amano
Beautiful. Simply Beautiful. Amano's voice is so powerful and with such a great voice it only emphasizes her awesome music. This was a song featured on Fatal Frame and it's...it's just so beautiful. It's passionate and sad and so far everyone I had listen to it loves it ^_^ so try it out.
5/5

Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand
This song is awesome. The guitar makes the whole song. Without the guitar...I don't know what this song would be. And I suppose I should give credit to the person playing the guitar. Either way this is the song to check out.
5/5

This Is How I Disappear - My Chemical Romance
I didn't stop listening to this song for about two weeks. And I still listen to it constantly. I can't even describe how cool it is. It really makes you want to jump and dance but it's talking about something that is quite serious. The guitars...I obviously like guitars. And the singing is better than in most MCR songs. Check this one out if you're a rocker.
